Olsson earns honors for several Kansas City projects

(Kansas City, Missouri) - Six Olsson projects were honored across the Kansas City Metro for making a positive impact. The KC Business Journal’s annual Capstone Awards recognize the top real estate development projects and deals.

Capstone award judges selected 31 projects throughout the city. They considered aspects such as project challenges, community impact and the risk involved, and investing in underserved areas or renovating older buildings.

Tap Ins at the Greenhouse

2026 Capstone Awards – Retail/Restaurant

Tap Ins at the Greenhouse is a year round entertainment destination featuring indoor and outdoor 18 hole mini golf courses, multiple food and beverage concepts, yard games, and flexible event spaces.

Amethyst Place – Tracy Campus

2026 Capstone Awards – Community Impact

This project transformed a vacant lot into 25 apartments and seven townhomes that support mothers working to overcome the effects of substance use, poverty, and trauma as they reunite with their children.

Behavioral Health Allies Headquarters Renovation

2026 Capstone Awards – Community Impact

The Behavioral Health Allies’ new headquarters and comprehensive care center, including administrative offices, an early intervention clinic, and the BHA Academy serving K–12 students with behavioral and developmental disabilities.

KC Current Riverside Project

2026 Capstone Awards – Sports/Entertainment

The Kansas City Current’s Riverside expansion includes a 2,000 seat stadium with a FIFA certified heated grass pitch, a state of the art performance center, and four new youth soccer fields.

Merriam Grand Station

2026 Capstone Awards – Mixed Use

Merriam Grand Station is a mixed use development featuring 361 luxury apartment units along with restaurant and retail space.

Project Gus - SubTropolis

2026 Capstone Awards – Industrial

Project Gus is a 910,800 square foot distribution facility located in SubTropolis. The facility will expand to 1.5 million square feet upon completion of its second phase and is the world’s largest underground build to suit warehouse.
