Giving back is a core part of who we are, and once again, our employees turned that commitment into meaningful action. In addition to the nearly 6,000 hours of hands on service our employees reported, our local offices strengthened community partnerships by supporting 64-plus organizations through financial donations, expanding our reach and deepening our impact.
That momentum extended firmwide through new and growing initiatives. We launched a partnership with Engineers Without Borders-USA, supported future innovators through the Society of Women Engineers’ Invent It. Build It. program, and visited classrooms across our footprint to educate students on careers in engineering. Employees also pledged more than $200,000 to the United Way Campaign, reinforcing our shared belief that investing time, talent, and resources helps communities thrive.
"Giving back is a core part of who we are, and once again, our employees turned that commitment into meaningful action."
As we celebrate these collective efforts, we are proud to recognize an outstanding individual and office who exemplified our commitment to service.
Community Champions Award
Tulsa, Oklahoma office
Commitment to the Tulsa Area United Way’s Day of Caring continues to put Olsson’s Tulsa office on top of the leaderboard for our Community Champions Award. Getting almost half of the employees to commit to a four-hour volunteer time slot on Friday morning is not an easy task, but it’s something the office looks forward to now.
This year, volunteers participated in an outdoor clean-up at a local Educare campus. This campus provides early childcare services for children whose families are facing economic barriers.
2025 Volunteer of the Year
Erin Wilson, landscape architect
Erin Wilson, a landscape architect based in Kansas City, Missouri, exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond for the community. After moving to the Kansas City area, Erin intentionally sought ways to connect and give back, becoming a dedicated volunteer with both Green Works KC and Feed Northland Kids. She supports environmental education through Green Works’ ECOS Nature Club and helps provide groceries to more than 200 KC Northland families each month through Feed Northland Kids. Erin routinely volunteers for every shift, mentors new volunteers, and stays until every task is completed. Even while recovering from surgery, she found safe ways to continue serving. She’s clearly demonstrating exceptional commitment, reliability, and heart for the community.
