May 07, 2020

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (May 7, 2020) – Olsson, a nationally recognized engineering and design firm, has named Brad Hammond leader of its office in Fayetteville. Hammond previously was leader for Olsson’s Water/Wastewater team based in Fayetteville.

Hammond joined Olsson when the firm acquired McGoodwin Williams & Yates in 2018, and his leadership helped pave the way for a smooth transition. Since then, the firm’s Fayetteville office has grown to meet the needs of clients throughout Arkansas. Olsson has strengthened the Fayetteville office by expanding the Water/Wastewater and Power Delivery teams, starting a Transportation team, growing the Field Services team, adding a materials testing lab and implementing geotechnical capabilities.

With more than 25 years of experience, Hammond knows the market in Northwest Arkansas. The scope of his design expertise includes civil site design, street design, water/wastewater projects and master planning.

“Brad has been a major factor in the operation, growth and development of a future vision for this office,” said Ron Mersch, vice president of Olsson. “He shows the qualities and leadership required to be successful in our industry. Brad is an ideal person to lead our office as we continue to grow our presence in Arkansas.”

Hammond earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas.

With Hammond moving to office leader, Chris Hall has been promoted to team leader for the Fayetteville/Springfield Water/Wastewater team. Hall’s recent work with Olsson’s Water/Wastewater team in Springfield, Missouri, allowed him to develop the necessary skills to lead a team.

Hall is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and has more than 20 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.

Olsson is a nationally recognized engineering firm made up of people who craft expert solutions and designs that improve communities. The firm offers design and consulting services in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental and technology. For more information, go to
